In an effort to enhance learner and business efficiencies the HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Education Team has recently reviewed the entire EHR training process and implemented enhancements. The enhancements will go live on June 15, 2020 and directly impact the following:
- Training Process
- Scheduling Software (Live as of April 2020)
- Training Schedule
Training Process-
- Current: Web-Based Training (2.5 hours) and Virtual Validation with Instructor (2.5 hours)
- New: Web-Based Training (Approx. 2.5 hours), Post Assessment ( Approx. 1 hour), Virtual Validation with Instructor (Approx. 1.5 hours)
****The new training process aligns with HCA, Donna Wright competency model and allows the learner to assess and increase EHR knowledge prior to completion of validation. In the validation we have streamlined the scenarios to allow the learner to complete in 1.5 hours.
- All training will continue to be assigned and completed in HealthStream.
- Please note total training time will vary by learner and specialty.
- It is recommended the training be completed no earlier than 2-3 weeks prior to first shift or start of assignment.
Scheduling Software (Effective April 2020) -
- We have implemented a new scheduling software called TimeTap. TimeTap has improved automated communication with the learner and learner functionality to manage course enrollments. This is currently live as of April 2020. The process to sign up is embedded in the EHR curriculum link in HealthStream.
