Julie Phipps is our HWS Program Director for Locum Tenens MSP. Based in our Sunrise corporate office, Julie and her team of eight support hospitals, physician services groups and clinics nationwide with their contract physician needs.
“My team and I bridge the gap in physician staffing,” Julie says. “When a physician needs to leave due to an emergency, FMLA or for any other reason, we provide any and all levels of support that the facility may need to find a quality contract physician to fill the vacancy.”
Julie began working with HealthTrust in October 2016, having previously worked for a physician staffing company. She initially worked as a Senior Program Manager supporting HCA Healthcare and was promoted to Program Director for Locum Tenens just nine months later.
The strength of Julie’s leadership can be found in her desire to learn all aspects of the business – from recruitment to credentialing and more – as well as her ability to put herself in the shoes of her team members, having worked her way up from similar roles herself.
When away from the office, Julie enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. Both of her daughters play on travel softball teams, leading to many weekend trips all across the state of Florida to watch them play. Julie is passionate about music and was the former singer of a country/rock band. A Chicago native, she is also a huge football fan, especially for the Chicago Bears.
