Another third in each age group said they would give up $10,000 to $20,000 a year to work fewer hours.  The desire for more work/life balance could have many physicians considering locum tenens work. Locum tenens work can provide physicians with an opportunity to create a more flexible and balanced schedule on their own terms.  According to Staffing Industry Analysts’ U.S. Staffing Industry September 2019 Healthcare Update, the locum tenens industry segment is expected to grow 4% year-over-year.
