According to the "US Staffing Industry Forecast: April 2021 Update" report released this week by SIA, temporary staffing within the United States is set to grow by 11% this year to a combine total of $134.7 billion. The trend, if it holds, will surpass the pre-pandemic level in 2019.

However, according to a recent Staffing Industry Review, COVID-19 has also brought forth a surge in bill rates for staffing firms due to increased competition to attract staff and fill vital roles. Also, nurses and healthcare workers are becoming increasingly exhausted as COVID-19 has provided both physical and emotional challenges.
